Job Summary: Conducts performance and reliability testing on engines components and installations in test cells. Key Responsibilities: Conducts performance and reliability testing on multiple and single cylinder engines components systems and controls; performs diagnosis of engines components systems controls and test cell problems and initiates appropriate resolutions. Operates data acquisition systems; reviews data for appropriateness; documents data collected and maintains electronic files. Performs rig engine and component builds tear down and inspections. Inspect and measures components. Fabricates necessary piping tubing and brackets from prints and drawings drill and tap material as necessary. Installs engines and instrumentation of engines and components in test cells test rigs. Executes test plans assigned by Engineering and Lab staff. Use mechanic tools and measuring equipment dial indicators torque wrenches feeler gauges. Must have good written communication and problem solving skills. Must document time worked on projects and submit spreadsheet on a weekly basis. Qualifications and Competencies: High school diploma GED or equivalent required with 5 years working on gasoline or diesel engines OR automotive or diesel trade school graduate OR Associates degree from an accredited program in mechanical engineering technology.

**Additional Manager notes**
We are seeking candidates with solid experience working on gasoline and/or diesel engines. The ideal individuals will have strong mechanical aptitude be comfortable using hand tools and possess a thorough understanding of engine components and systems.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; however recent graduates from accredited auto or diesel tech schools will also be considered. Engine experience is the top priority for this role.
This is a 6-month position with the possibility of extension. The work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Overtime is available on a voluntary basis.
The interview process will include a 45-minute Zoom interview followed by a second round of in-person interviews upon manager request.
