Title - Behavioral Health Professional 2
Duration - 6 months
Shift - Standard mostly but depending upon requirement
Location: Remote - Austin TX
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming telephone calls and triage behavioral health need
- Document calls and actions using standard computer software application
- Provide resource and education to non-licensed behavioral health staff
- Schedule and make follow up calls to provide care facilitation
- Promote recovery concepts and inspire hope
- Work with other internal and external agency personnel to meet callers needs
- Provide professional assessments interventions within scope of relevant licensure
- Provide information and behavioral health education to callers
Typical Day to Day
- This is a case management role.
- They will be working with individuals ages roughly 3-21 years old so it spans through a few development stages.
- They are assisting with identifying gaps in case.
- This is not direct care but individuals are using those skills to complete assessments.
- The outreach is predominately phone.
Education/Certification
- Requires a Masters degree in Mental Health or Social Work or Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing
Required License :
Licensure can be LPC LCSW RN - must be fully licensed.
Must haves:
- 2 4 years of related experience.
- Some behavioral health experience!
- Some experience with the adolescence population.
- Some type of case management experience. ( a bit flexibility here but looking for someone who has managed a caseload of clients or patients over any period of time )
Nice to haves:
Integrity and honesty. Good communication skills is a huge plus. organizational skills.
Disqualifiers:
- People who come from a long stent of private practice will likely not transition into this role well.
Performance indicators:
- Good tenure in roles is very important. I dont want to see a lot of people in 1 year in a ton of roles. At least 2 years in most positions on the resume.
