We are looking for a driven commercially minded Business Development Associate who thrives at the intersection of strategy collaboration and execution to join our Nordic Commercial team at Marsh McLennan based in Stockholm. As our new Business Development Associate your primary responsibilities will be split across two main areas:

To coordinate and further develop our relationships with the carriers as part of the Insurance Consultancy Group (ICG) and to work closely with our Nordic MMC Chief Commercial Officer to develop and support initiatives of joint collaboration across the four operating companies of MMC (Marsh Mercer Oliver Wyman and Guy Carpenter)

We will rely on you to:

  • Analyse and manage sales data using Excel PowerPoint and Power BI to support sales efforts sales tracking and forecasting and identify growth opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver internal reports and presentations to communicate commercial activities progress and insights both internally and towards carriers as part of the ICG responsibility
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure data accuracy and data collection support growth initiatives and coordinate meetings/events
  • Support day-to-day communications with internal and external stakeholders including assisting in quarterly meetings and market events
  • Assist in planning and coordinating ICG events and maintaining relationships with both clients and carriers at the Swedish and Nordic levels

What youll need to have:

  • 3-5 years of experience working with Outlook Excel and PowerPoint (Power BI experience is a plus)
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) fluency in a Nordic language is preferred
  • At minimis Bachelors degree in Business Finance Engineering or a related field
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills with ability to build and maintain a good network internally and externally and to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis reporting and visualization

In addition you have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to work within a team. You are analytical and structured in your way of working. You have a flexible and pro-active mindset and meet deadlines.

What makes you stand out:

  • Prior experience in strategy business development or in a sales/commercial support role within a corporate environment
  • Proven track record in terms of time management prioritization attention to detail and effective communication
  • Knowledge of the insurance or financial services industry is an advantage
  • Experience with Power BI and advanced data visualization techniques
