The Division of Human Resources provides quality services to attract motivate manage and retain a diverse and competent workforce. The division emphasizes customer service based on consultation and communication with the DODD workforce in order for the agency to more effectively carry out its mission and values.

  • Hourly wage will be paid at step 1 unless otherwise specified bycollective bargaining agreement or rules outlined in the ORC/OAC.
  • The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. RuleBackground Investigations for Employment outlines disqualifying offenses that will preclude an applicant from being employed by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
  • The final applicant selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to the appointment to test for illegal drug use. An applicant with a positive test result will not be offered employment.
  • No additional materials will be accepted after the closing date; in addition you must clearly demonstrate how you meet minimum qualifications.
  • Requires travel throughout State of Ohio & may require overnight stay. Must be willing & able to secure a Driver License OR supply your own transportation.

3 yrs. collective bargaining which included contract administration & management representation with regard to grievances &/or negotiated agreements (successful completion of the OCB Academy may be substituted for 6 mos. of required collective bargaining experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications; applicants who completed OCB Academy prior to 1/1/2018 may substitute 12 mos. exp.).

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources management; 12 mos. labor relations/collective bargaining experience which included contract administration & management representation with regard to grievances &/or negotiated agreements (successful completion of the OCB Academy may be substituted for the 6 mos. labor relations/collective bargaining experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications; applicants who completed OCB Academy prior to 1/1/2018 may substitute 12 mos. exp.).

-Or 24 mos. exp. as Labor Relations Officer 1 63471.

-Or 12 mos. exp. as Labor Relations Officer 2 63472.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

This position is unclassified per ORC 124.11(A)(9) and serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority. Employees in unclassified service are not subject to competitive civil service examination procedures.
