Job Summary

My client a well-established mission-driven educational institution in Los Angeles is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Budget Manager to support its financial operations. This is a key leadership position reporting directly to the Head of School and collaborating closely with both internal leadership and external financial partners.
The Budget Manager is responsible for overseeing budgeting financial reporting tuition assistance administration enrollment contract management and long-term fiscal planning. This role ensures financial compliance accuracy and alignment with the institutions values and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full budgeting process including annual planning forecasting and variance analysis
Prepare and present financial reports to leadership and relevant stakeholders
Manage annual enrollment contracts and tuition assistance processes
Support strategic planning and long-term financial sustainability
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies
Supervise the Human Resources Manager and coordinate with external finance departments
Collaborate with department heads to support resource planning and decision-making

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field (Masters degree or CPA preferred)
Minimum 5 years of experience in budgeting financial management or accounting ideally within a nonprofit or educational environment
Demonstrated experience with financial reporting forecasting and compliance
Strong analytical and organizational skills with acute attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
$100000 - $120000 a year
