Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant ETL Tester with Snowflake experience

In this role you would be responsible for providing Enhancement & testing services in a ETL Talend environment. Candidate will be working with SMEs Scrum Master Product Owner & Users to complete end-to-end SDLC for a fintech client.

Responsibilities

• Additional responsibilities shall include contributing to designing and documenting of the software architecture based on existing architecture and inputs received from client from time to time.

• Design develop and execute comprehensive ETL testing strategies and test plans specific to Snowflake data pipelines.

• Create and maintain test cases to validate data extraction transformation and loading processes within Snowflake.

• Conduct end-to-end testing of ETL workflows to ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the entire pipeline.

• Collaborate closely with data engineers developers and stakeholders to understand data requirements and business logic.

• Identify document and report defects or discrepancies in data transformations or loading processes.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for ETL testing in Snowflake.

• Perform performance testing to evaluate the efficiency and scalability of Snowflake data pipelines.

• Troubleshoot issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related problems.

• Ensure compliance with data governance security and regulatory standards during testing processes.

• Document test results findings and recommendations for improvements in testing procedures.

• Good to have testing experience ETL build using DBT Pyspark Glue Lambda.

• Perform unit testing integration testing and UAT as and when required.

• Also engage with Client in requirement gathering Status update on work UAT and be the key partner in the overall engagement.

• Writing complex SQL queries ability to determine the type of Data & Regression.

• Responsible to track defects using i.e. Jira

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications

• BE/B Tech/MCA with relevant work experience

• Relevant work experience as ETL Testing along with Snowflake pipeline building

Preferred qualifications/ skills

• It is essential that you have experience in creation of necessary infrastructure for ETL jobs using MSBI (SSIS SSRS SQL server (SQL and stored procedures functions triggers mandatory skills) and Talend from a wide range of data sources.

• Relevant years of Software Quality Assurance experience on enterprise level applications which includes Data Warehouse Testing.

• Experience in writing complex SQL queries ability to determine the types of testing that must be conducted (i.e. data validation regression etc.) including evaluating the testability of requirements and create a comprehensive test plan that supports the business and technological solutions being delivered.

• Should have experience testing multiple test phases in medium to large projects.

• Should have adequate experience and clear understanding of data warehouse and data mart testing.

• Identification and Test Data Preparation Techniques. Thorough knowledge of Software Test Life Cycle Test Case Life Cycle Defect Life Cycle etc. Proficiency with Test Case Preparation and Execution.

• QA Automation Test tools expertise in Selenium Test Ng Cucumber Appium etc. Extensive exposure to Back-end/ETL Testing with high-level of SQL skills is required.

• Possess experience in using Informatica suite of tools. Must have Talend Open Studio Experience

• Should have exposure to large data sets and understand Data Quality Framework.

• Experience in data analysis including profiling auditing balancing and reconciliation in an information technology operating environment.

• Knowledge of data models and entity relationship diagrams

• Knowledge and experience in data masking methodologies .
• Must have the ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changes while maintaining urgency in completing assigned tasks.

• Should be detail oriented with analytical mind set. Good understanding of Agile Delivery Methodology & experience in working with Scrum teams

• Good in problem solving could adapt new skills and is keen on sharing expertise and knowledge.

• Excellent client facing skills that include conducting compelling technical briefing & demonstrations. The person should have a technical curiosity to implement new technologies and articulate the solutions to the client!
