Product Line Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the equipment product line and system design for chemical applications. A successful candidate will support field sales and customer needs and must be a flexible and dynamic person with the ability to multitask across multiple projects and tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively interact with a national (limited international) sales force and customers to define project scope and provide quotes for required chemical supply equipment.

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.

• Develop and manage the equipment product line and standardize equipment offerings based on field sales needs/requirements.

• Provide engineering design for automated chemical metering systems including process design equipment specification and creation of P&IDs BOMs and other schematics.

• Select and manage a network of vendors for fabrication of chemical metering systems.

• Provide technical support to field reps for various equipment systems and components.

• Troubleshoot newly installed and existing systems for mechanical electrical and operational issues.

• Manage and maintain inventory and spare parts.

• Effectively work collaboratively with team members as well as other functional support employees.

• Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude.

• Maintains constant focus on working and driving in a safe manner.

QUALIFICATIONS / DESIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelors or Associates degree in engineering; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience with process equipment including chemical feed systems pumps valves piping components and instrumentation.

• Chemical compatibility material selection for plastics elastomers and metals experience is a plus.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Drawing capability with AutoCAD or similar software.

• Experience with PLC programming and/or troubleshooting is a plus.

• Strong time management skills with an attention to detail.

• Ability to travel up to 10% including some overnight travel

• Must possess a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
