The Role

We are looking for a Business Controller to join our Finance team in Gouda Netherlands.
In this role you will be part of Consilium Safety Netherlands B.V. working closely with colleagues in Finance and reporting directly to the Head of Finance.

As Business Controller you will play a key role in supporting management with insights analyses and advice that drive decision-making and business performance. You will provide financial clarity identify opportunities and risks and help improve processes ensuring we achieve our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse management reports KPIs and dashboards
• Take part in monthly and yearly closings and reporting to both local management and HQ in Sweden
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Conduct financial analyses for investments business cases and cost-saving initiatives
• Play a pivotal role in the yearly audit
• Identify risks opportunities and propose improvements
• Improve processes systems and internal controls
• Manage overdue receivables contacting customers where needed
• Act as a sparring partner for management and departments across the business
• Ensure compliance with financial laws regulations and internal guidelines
• Provide backup support for finance team colleagues during absence

What You Bring

• A completed higher professional (HBO) or university (WO) degree in Business Economics Finance Accountancy or similar
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience ideally in a similar role
• Experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics Unit4 SAP AFAS Exact) and BI tools (Power BI) is a plus
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Solid knowledge of financial laws and IFRS standards
• Proactive results-oriented and precise with strong advisory skills
• A trustworthy team player with the ability to see the bigger picture
