Join our Team as a Platform Engineer
Location: Gurgaon
Hours: UK shift
About the role:
As a Platform Engineer youll be a key member of our development and operations teams responsible for designing implementing and managing our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. Youll empower product teams to deploy applications efficiently by leveraging modern DevOps practices Infrastructure as Code and automation tools. What makes you a great fit:
- Proven experience in Platform DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD
- Skilled in scripting languages like Python or Bash
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Stackdriver)
- Comfortable mentoring junior engineers and sharing knowledge
- Systematic process-driven and proactive in problem-solving
- Personable confident and adaptable to change
Key responsibilities:
- Design deploy and manage scalable and fault-tolerant systems on GCP
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or Deployment Manager
- Implement and maintain secure network architecture IAM roles and access policies
- Collaborate with development teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor performance and availability of GCP resources implementing disaster recovery strategies
- Provide architectural guidance and best practices for GCP-based solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
- Participate in planning sessions to align infrastructure with project goals
- Build reusable tools and libraries to improve team efficiency
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards
