What Youll Do:
Lead the application of civil engineering principles to Rail Transit projects.
Perform and oversee engineering calculations analysis and design for civil improvement plans.
Prepare and seal plans specifications and cost estimates in accordance with agency design criteria and applicable codes.
Coordinate technical reviews with clients regulatory agencies and multidisciplinary design teams.
Develop and manage production work plans schedules and budgets.
Conduct independent quality control and quality assurance reviews.
Guide junior engineers and designers fostering technical excellence and mentorship.
Collaborate with architects structural MEP and other disciplines to deliver fully integrated design solutions.
Support business development through technical expertise client interaction and proposal input as needed.
What Youll Bring:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering required.
Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Michigan PE a plus).
610 years of related civil/site design experience preferably in Rail Transit or transportation projects.
Proven leadership organizational and mentoring skills.
Strong technical expertise in roadway parking utility site development and/or water resources design.
Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD required.
Experience with rail design preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to clients and stakeholders.
Demonstrated commitment to innovation integrity and sustainable solutions.
Active involvement in professional associations (AREMA APTA ASCE WTS etc.) preferred.
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment we have provided the base compensation range of$85000 - $135000 annually for this position and local market.
