SUMMARY

Bachelors degree 3 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or senior generalist capacity. Broad human resources knowledge with experience in colleague relations recruitment benefits and compensation. Prior experience with unions is a plus. Strong people skills with theability to interact with all levels of colleagues and management. Must travel as needed.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required: Bachelors degree 3 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or senior generalist capacity. Broad human resources knowledge with experience in colleague relations recruitment benefits and compensation. Prior experience with unions is a plus. Strong people skills with theability to interact with all levels of colleagues and management. Must travel as needed.

Preferred: Bachelors degree and 5 years of progressive HR experience. Working knowledge of Workday. PHR or SPHR certified.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Provide counsel to colleagues and management ensuring legal compliance with policy and laws.

    • Conduct internal investigations in accordance with Company policy and legal requirements.

    • Collaborate with management to successfully execute the annual performance review cycles. Guide management regarding performance issues.

    • Work with Union representatives to facilitate a good working relationship as needed.

    • Partner with management to address any grievance administration while successfully administering compliance with the CBA.

    • Oversee local unemployment compensation claims local workers compensation claims and OSHA reporting logs to ensure compliance.

    • Possess an intimate understanding of the leave of absence process including but not limited to FMLA and work comp disability.

    • Actively engage in communications with other HR team members around best practices and identify opportunities to create consistency where necessary.

    • Continue to partner with Syscos Centers of Excellence (COE) to execute best practices.

    • Support the Director of HR in executing HR strategic initiatives.

    • Maintain current knowledge of state and local DOT standards and requirements.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.
