Broad human resources knowledge with experience in colleague relations recruitment benefits and compensation. Prior experience with unions is a plus. Strong people skills with theability to interact with all levels of colleagues and management. Must travel as needed.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required: Bachelors degree 3 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or senior generalist capacity. Broad human resources knowledge with experience in colleague relations recruitment benefits and compensation. Prior experience with unions is a plus. Strong people skills with theability to interact with all levels of colleagues and management. Must travel as needed.
Preferred: Bachelors degree and 5 years of progressive HR experience. Working knowledge of Workday. PHR or SPHR certified.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provide counsel to colleagues and management ensuring legal compliance with policy and laws.
Conduct internal investigations in accordance with Company policy and legal requirements.
Collaborate with management to successfully execute the annual performance review cycles. Guide management regarding performance issues.
Work with Union representatives to facilitate a good working relationship as needed.
Partner with management to address any grievance administration while successfully administering compliance with the CBA.
Oversee local unemployment compensation claims local workers compensation claims and OSHA reporting logs to ensure compliance.
Possess an intimate understanding of the leave of absence process including but not limited to FMLA and work comp disability.
Actively engage in communications with other HR team members around best practices and identify opportunities to create consistency where necessary.
Continue to partner with Syscos Centers of Excellence (COE) to execute best practices.
Support the Director of HR in executing HR strategic initiatives.
Maintain current knowledge of state and local DOT standards and requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
