UPHS Marquette is a 222 bed hospital in Marquette MI and houses the regions only Level II Trauma Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). How youll contribute
The Maintenance Specialist performs maintenance repairs construction and installation of systems and equipment associated with the designated specialty.
Qualifications and requirements
Education: Highschool Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree preferred
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Essential functions:
Maintains and repairs specialty building items.
Assists and acts as a resource for other maintenance staff with regard to specialty building materials problems and issues.
Utilizes appropriate hand and power tools and test equipment related to maintenance or specialty.
Reads interprets and utilizes blueprints and schematics as required for job performance.
Maintains and stocks appropriate inventories. Orders parts and supplies as needed.
Performs preventative maintenance as assigned.
Assumes the role of charge person when requested.
