About the Role
The Maintenance Mechanic (2nd shift & 3rd shift) position is responsible for ensuring the safe reliable and efficient operation of production and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in supporting smooth plant operations through equipment maintenance troubleshooting and repair. The Maintenance Mechanic will apply strong mechanical skills preventative maintenance knowledge and problem-solving abilities to keep systems operating at peak performance.
Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting repair and maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment

Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
-
Diagnose mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic issues on production systems
-
Install align and adjust machinery components as needed for safe and efficient operation
-
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner
-
Ensure compliance with safety protocols regulatory standards and quality requirements
-
Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruptions and optimize equipment performance
-
Assist in continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades
-
Maintain an organized and safe work environment in the maintenance shop and production floor
Qualifications
-
Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing setting
-
Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems
-
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals schematics and blueprints
-
Skilled in using hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment
-
Understanding of preventative maintenance practices and repair procedures
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Ability to lift climb and work in physically demanding conditions
-
Commitment to workplace safety and equipment reliability
Desired Qualifications
-
Associate degree trade school training or technical certification in industrial maintenance or a related field
-
Experience with food manufacturing packaging machinery or high-speed production equipment
-
Welding fabrication or machining skills
-
Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and basic electrical systems
-
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
-
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
