As an Oracle Data Centre Technician you will be the technical liaison between the technology teams and the Data Centre will be able to troubleshoot and solve all but the most complex infrastructure a skilled troubleshooter across a wide range of Data Centre environments and systems you understand which issues should be escalated to the appropriate resolver create and maintain documentation on the technologies you support. You understand all aspects of the equipment you know how to innovate and make decisions on your own but also know how to take direction when it is given paying attention to all details will be expected to improve current processes and introduce automation with an aim towards simplification.
ResponsibilitiesFollowing are some of the responsibilities and requirements of the role:
- Previous experience working in a Data Centre environment.
- Review and action incoming and open tickets prioritising work based on ticket severity.
- Participate in the installation monitoring maintenance support and optimisation of all production server hardware and software.
- Provide escalated second-level technical support for complex issues which may include leading problem management cases and providing management updates.
- Communicate confidently and clearly with all stakeholders.
- Maintain strong adherence to processes and act as a process champion.
- Understand internal customer problems and deliver timely technical solutions.
- Work on a rotating shift basis including on-call.
- Background in Linux.
- Knowledge of Data Centre Ecosystem (cooling electrical networking and structured cabling).
- Applicants must be an Australian citizen and either hold NV1 clearance or be eligible to undergo the vetting process.
