About the Role

Cook 37 hours per week
Cook 30 hours per week

Both posts include weekends and Bank Holidays in accordance with the needs of the service.

Locations: Cherry Trees (Chippenham Road Bestwood Park Estate Nottingham NG5 5TA) and The Oaks (St Anns Nottingham NG3 1GZ)

To provide a flexible culturally appropriate catering service to meet the needs of citizens staff and visitors.

To manage catering staff rotas and provide well-presented nutritious meals. This includes menu planning food ordering and managing the food budget.

About You

Key Responsibilities:

Plan menus and arrange food purchasing within the budget.
Prepare cook and serve meals ensuring quality quantity and presentation.
Take action on client feedback or complaints.
Delegate and supervise assistant cooks/kitchen domestics.
Maintain hygiene standards and follow Assured Safe Catering procedures.
Maintain cleaning schedules and check deliveries.
Complete necessary records and manage stock control.
Report equipment defects.
Work across Adult Provision sites as required.
Able to travel and be available for work 7 days a week including weekends and Bank Holidays.
Undertake and achieve a satisfactory DBS check.

What Were Looking For:

Experience in catering or professional cookery.
Knowledge of food hygiene safety and nutrition standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
