  • Department and location: Gastroenterology IBD Services St. Vincents Hospital Darlinghurst

  • Salary: $72285.45-$73940.16 (pro-rata) super salary packaging

About the role

  • Support IBD Patient Care Manage patient information book and discharge clinic appointments arrange interpreters and assist patients with telehealth access.

  • Coordinate Clinic Operations Oversee scheduling for gastroenterologists nurses dietitians and pharmacists ensure billing eligibility and maintain compliance with privacy and revenue procedures.

  • Be the First Point of Contact Handle reception duties respond to calls and emails and direct enquiries promptly to the right team members.

  • Keep Everything Running Smoothly Maintain and replenish clinic forms support nursing staff with PBS Biologic applications prepare meeting minutes and manage administrative tasks like scanning and mail.

  • Contribute to a High-Performing Team Help train new staff participate in quality improvement activities and assist with ongoing development of administrative services.

About you

  • Team Player with Initiative Able to work independently or as part of a team collaborating effectively with staff at all levels.

  • Professional and Personable Always project a polite helpful and professional image when interacting with patients visitors and colleagues.

  • Strong Communicator Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven administrative experience.

  • Organised and Detail-Oriented Experienced in coordinating patient appointments and managing revenue/Medicare billing processes accurately.

  • Medical Knowledge Advantage Familiarity with medical terminology to support clinical and administrative tasks.
