We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer with a strong background in full stack software development. The ideal candidate should have a platform-centric approach and a proven track record to build platforms frameworks to solve complex problems. You will be instrumental in crafting innovative applications that safeguard our marketplace to mitigate risks and curtail financial losses. What you will accomplish:

• Develop high-performing solutions that align with eBays business and technology strategies to enhance risk management trust and compliance..

• Research analyze design develop and test the solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.

• Participate in design discussions code reviews and project-related team meetings impacting significantly to the development process.

• Collaborate optimally within a multi-functional team comprising of engineers architects product managers and operations to deliver innovative solutions to address business needs performance scale and reliability.

• Acquire domain expertise and apply this knowledge to tackle product challenges ensuring continuous improvement in the domain.

• Act as an onboarding buddy for new joiners fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.

What you will bring:

• At least 8 years of software design and development experience with proven foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures algorithms distributed computing and scalable software design

• Hands on expertise with architectural and design patterns open source platforms & frameworks technologies and software engineering methodologies.

• Hands-on experience in developing applications with Spring/Spring Boot Rest GraphQl Java JEE Spring batch.

• Hands-on experience with building data models in Oracle/MySql/RDBMS and NoSql databases e.g key value store document store like Mongo Couchbase Cassandra.

• Hands-on Experience in building tools and User experience using Html5 ReactJs Arco design Material design.

• Hands on experience in finetuning performance bottlenecks of java javascript.

• Proficiency in data & streaming technologies like Hadoop Spark Kafka apache Flink etc.

• Practiced agile development and ability to adapt changes with business priorities.

• Experience with building sophisticated integration solutions for internet scale traffic is a major plus.

• Risk domain rule engine expertise is a major plus.

• Excellent with decision-making communication and collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI tools is a major plus.

• Experience with Prometheus Graphana OLAP and Devops tools for observability is required.
