Job Summary
SUBJECT: Short Term Substitute Teacher: Special Education - Worcester Arts Magnet Fall 2025REPORTS TO: BUILDING PRINCIPALACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:The Worcester Public Schools is seeking a Short Term Substitute Special Education Teacher at Woodland Academy for the anticipated period of September 9 2025 to November 10 205. Should this assignment period extend or another similar assignment become available following the dates of this assignment the successful candidate may be offered the opportunity to continue the placement. If the assignment reaches 45 consecutive work days this would be considered a Long Term Substitute QUALIFICATIONS:1. Bachelors Degree2. Excellent written and oral communication skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:1. Massachusetts DESE educators license in Elementary 1-62. Demonstrated experience supporting students with disabilities3. Ability to speak Albanian Arabic Nepali Portuguese Spanish Vietnamese or an African LanguageWORK YEAR: Dates of assignment as noted above. Potential for assignment to DAY: 6 hoursHOURLY RATE: Short Term Substitute Hourly rate of 18.32/hour for consecutive work days 1-44.
