About this role Kō tēnei tūranga mahi
Nelson Public Libraries are busy dynamic environments at the hub of our community. We are seekinganenthusiastic friendly customer focussed team member to join our team in a permanent full time role. This role works an average of 40 hours per week over a 4 week roster. The roster will include weekend work one weekend of every four.
In this role youll be at the heart of delivering outstanding customer service across Nelson Public Libraries branches. Youll assist a diverse range of customers with their library needs helping to create a friendly inclusive and well-organised environment. Alongside front-line service youll support key administrative tasks process and maintain library collections and contribute to the smooth running of our spaces and services.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent frontline customer service
- A good level of digital competence and confidence across a range of technology
- Effective communication skills both in person and written
- Strong relationship management skills
- Good judgement and attention to detail
- The ability to adapt and make improvements part of every day work
- Initiative prioritisation and time management skills
- A desire to collaborate learn and share knowledge
