Job Description
Introduction
* Relevant degree in Food Technology BCom or an equivalent business-related field. At least 5 or more years experience in sales. Willing to travel. Valid drivers license. *
Description:
A food ingredient manufacturer requires a Regional Sales Manager to join their team. This position will report to the Managing Director. Key duties will include but are not limited to:
Plan fortnightly sales call schedules to ensure a value-added approach.
Learn and apply client classifications.
Build market share across all categories.
Drive and achieve volumes/budget across all categories.
Build on and research product and industry knowledge.
Work on promotional activity as per standards.
Build solid long-standing client relationships.
Absolute focus on customer and service.
Weekly sales reports.
Proactively look for new business and explore opportunities in the market.
Provide information on market trends as required.
Sales administration.
Establish and manage client account agreements.
Develop new relationships through field visits.
Review customer accounts monthly to identify and solve queries and outstanding matters.
Key Requirements:
Relevant degree in Food Technology BCom or an equivalent business-related field. At least 5 or more years experience in sales preferably in FMCG or commercial sectors with experience in handling key accounts. Valid drivers license and must be willing to travel.
Additional Requirements:
Planning and organising ability. Formal presentation ability and business acumen. Customer service orientation Quality focus and drive. Time management and good communication skills.
