POSITION: Director Credentialing REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President Learning ACHE is a hybrid work environment requiring 2 days per week in our Chicago loop office and as such only Chicago area based candidates will be considered. SUMMARY This position oversees the FACHE program and related activities. Along with executive leadership team develops the long-term vision strategy and overall direction of the entire credentialing program. The position collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve program objectives and maintain the credibility of the certification. JOB FUNCTIONS - Strategy Development and Execution 15% of Time
- Under the guidance of ACHEs Executive Leadership Team develop and implement strategic and operational plans aligned with ACHEs mission and goals.
- Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategies.
- Ensure that the certification policies and procedures are aligned with established direction and goals.
- Develop accurate metrics and reports to monitor and improve program performance.
- Ensure the Fellow credentialing processes and policies follow best practice thinking and certification standards.
- Manages Exam Design and Development 45% of Time
- Identify and validate the Exam content outline through job/practice analysis research.
- Following established guidelines and best practices develop the Board of Governors Exam through item writing standard setting and psychometric analysis. Manage meetings of volunteer leadership staff consultants/vendors to accomplish program purpose and goals.
- Actively monitors and evaluates where improvements can be made.
- assuring appropriate security measures for delivery of the Exam; and
- ensure intellectual property is protected.
- Marketing Certification Program 20% of Time
- Collaborate with communications and marketing to develop materials needed to support the certification program.
- Define the scope of the market and identify target segments and key stakeholder groups in building participation in the certification program.
- Identify value proposition positioning and branding for certification products and services.
- Maintain credentialing related resources on organization website ensuring up-to-date information and accuracy.
- Exam Preparation/Review Materials Activities 10% of Time
- Advises ACHE Learn in the development of review material and other resources to assist candidates in preparing for the Exam.
- Serve as content expert on certification eligibility requirements application process preparation material and other resources.
- Oversight and Supervisory Activities 10% of Time
- Manages the credentialing department budget allocates resources and tracks financial performance.
- Oversee work of staff performing functions related to credentialing including applications advancement and recertification processes to assure efficiency and accuracy.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS - Masters degree in health administration business administration or related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in a health-related field or testing experience with emphasis on managing a certification program
- Have achieved Fellow (FACHE) status or be Fellow eligible within 1 year of employment start date
- Knowledge of key certification industry standards (i.e. ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024; NCCA Standards for the Accreditation of Certification Programs)
- Knowledge of components of exam design development and maintenance; passing score methodologies equating methodologies test performance monitoring techniques legal implications and risk management strategies; confidentiality and privacy issues related to candidate information; legal implications and risk management strategies related to certification usual certification policies and procedures; certification collateral materials; essential elements of contracts and agreements; and financial management principles.
- Must have strong public speaking skills and experience; effective written and verbal communication skills; and computer skills (Office 365).
- Must be customer service and orientated
- Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills influence and leadership skills and meetings management experience
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
