Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field Masters degree preferred 4 years hands-on Nutanix administration and deployment 3 years virtualization experience (VMware vSphere Hyper-V) 2 years cloud platform experience

Certifications: Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or similar hyperconverged infrastructure certification AWS certifications preferred (Solutions Architect SysOps Administrator) VMware certifications beneficial for migration work

Position Summary

Design deploy and maintain Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure and cloud environments supporting IRS Criminal Investigations digital forensics platform. Lead migration from legacy vSphere to native Nutanix while ensuring 24/7 availability for critical law enforcement operations.

Education & Certifications Required

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
  • Masters degree preferred
• Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or similar hyperconverged infrastructure certification
• AWS certifications preferred (Solutions Architect SysOps Administrator)
• VMware certifications beneficial for migration work

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate workloads from Nutanix vSphere to Native Nutanix environments
• Deploy and configure Nutanix clusters with networking integration
• Develop and maintain Prism Central dashboards and monitoring tools
• Create automated deployment processes and golden images
• Support Treasury Cloud (TCloud) expansion initiatives
• Maintain backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery capabilities

Required Experience

• 4 years hands-on Nutanix administration and deployment
• 3 years virtualization experience (VMware vSphere Hyper-V)
• 2 years cloud platforms experience (AWS Azure)
• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell Python)
• Background in FISMA High or similar regulated environments
• Minimum of 2 years with previous or current experience with the IRS is required
