Embedded Engineer Location: Waukesha WI Key Responsibilities: Linux Wi-Fi Driver Development. Platform Bring-Up & System Integration. Wireless Validation & Performance Testing. Documentation & Deliverables. Required Skills & Experience: Experience in Linux kernel development and device driver programming. Strong expertise in Wi-Fi driver development (cfg80211/mac80211/PCIe-based Wi-Fi chipsets). Hands-on experience with PCIe bus link training debugging and device tree configuration. Familiarity with Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 standards PHY/MAC architecture and RF bring-up. Proficiency with Linux kernel 5.x/6.x cross-compilation u-boot and embedded Linux boot pipelines. Experience working with ARM Cortex-A cores and FPGA-based SoCs (e.g. Arria 10). Strong skills in kernel debugging (dmesg tracepoints ftrace gdb printk). Tools knowledge: iw iperf tcpdump hostapd kernel build tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Intel or Qualcomm Wi-Fi chipsets and related firmware. Background in Yocto-based Linux BSP customization. Familiarity with FPGA-based PCIe endpoint/host interfaces. Experience with Wi-Fi 7 testing methodologies. Prior experience with Altera/Intel SoC FPGA toolchains. |
