Logistics Administrator
Location: Office-based Northampton
Salary: 27000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am 4:30pm
About the Role -
Our client is looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Logistics Administrator to play a critical role in our day-to-day operations. Based in their Northampton office you will be central to ensuring accurate invoicing excellent customer communication and high-quality administrative support.
This role is essential to maintaining their service standards financial accuracy and operational efficiency. If you enjoy working with numbers systems and people - and take pride in getting things right first time - this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities -
- Prepare verify and process customer invoices accurately and within agreed timescales
- Investigate and resolve invoicing discrepancies ensuring issues are followed through to completion
- Maintain well-organised financial billing and administrative records
- Act as the professional first point of contact for customers responding to queries enquiries and service requests promptly and effectively
- Escalate operational or service-related concerns to the appropriate teams when required
- Maintain accurate documentation and internal records in line with company standards
- Support the Operations team with reporting filing and data management
- Assist with general office administration to support the wider team
Person Specification
Essential:
- Previous administrative or office-based experience
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Good IT skills including Excel email and internal systems
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Professional and confident communication skills both written and verbal
Desirable:
- Experience within logistics transport or warehousing environments
- Previous experience using invoicing or finance systems
- Knowledge of transport management or warehouse systems
- Customer service qualifications or formal training
