Reporting to the General Manager the Manufacturing Training Manager will oversee designing delivering reviewing and evaluating training and development processes and procedures across the manufacturing facility to ensure that training programs and initiatives are in line with corporate policies and programs.
What a typical day looks like:
Entrusted premium partner with managers and supervisors; conduct annual Training Needs Investigation and revise the company training plan to help development and advancement of talent.
Plan design and develop relevant training programs based on renowned approach or methodology.
Develop and conduct evaluation of training performance. Create and manage follow-up action plans that reinforce the transfer of business skills from training programs back into the daily work environment.
You will manage hire and train manufacturing trainers for continuous learning and operational excellence supporting all managers on the production floor
Manage and advise management on related training and development to meet local needs.
You must understand how production runs in each department.
You will be responsible for partnering with Production Engineering Quality Maintenance and Safety to ensure employees at all levels are equipped with the skills needed to perform their job on all shifts with consistent training across all departments and shifts.
Review and develop Training and Development procedures.
Ensure good relationship and communication with management team ensure all training programs match the requirement of organization and work.
Utilize data and investigate to identify measure and track effectiveness of training and learning activities.
Research past and current year training requirements to prepare budgets and justify funds requested.
Develop coordinate and conduct training plan implementation.
Initiate corrective actions and continuous improvement process to the training systems processes and programs.
Design and deliver customized training solutions based on client requests.
Selects appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as unipersonal training group instruction self-study lectures demonstrations simulation exercises role play and computer-based training.
Organizes and develops training manuals reference library testing and evaluation procedures multimedia visual aids and other educational materials.
May conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Design Develop and Maintain training equipment training certs and training infrastructure.
Continuously access market industry trends technologies and industry best practices to ensure training capabilities remain best-in-class.
Experience/Education:
Bachelors or Masters degree in education Instructional Design Organizational Development or a related field
Minimum 5 years experience training in a Manufacturing Environment
Minimum 5 years Managerial experience and/or proven leadership skills
Power or Utility industry preferred.
