Wellington Police are looking for a Case Management Support Officer (CMSO) to join the Criminal Justice Support Unit (CJSU). The CJSU are responsible for managing criminal disclosure obligations and preparing prosecution files for trial.

The CMSO assists the teams supervisors in managing and reviewing criminal prosecution correspondence and assisting file managers with administration functions required in the prosecution space.

The CMSO position is subject to rotation across the Case Management (CM) Group. The successful candidate will also be required to train in the role of CMSO within Wellingtons Investigation Support Unit to provide coverage across all CM workgroups as required.

Key Accountabilities:

  • The management of email correspondence received by the workgroup.
  • Assistance to File Managers in dealing with electronic evidence and transcript requests.
  • General administration functions within the workgroup.

Whilst we are looking for skills knowledge and experience relevant to the role we also place high importance on your state of mind the alignment of your values with ours your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams and the way that you lead yourself or others.

The successful applicant will also have experience in Microsoft computer systems including Word Excel and Outlook. They will demonstrate experience with high volume workloads and effective time management.

Experience with New Zealand Police systems including the National Intelligence Application and Case Management Processes would be an advantage; however full training can be provided.

Utu ā-tau Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $63526 and $66312 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
