We are working with a welcoming and supportive Primary schools in Bexley who are looking for enthusiastic driven graduates to take on full-time Learning Support Assistant positions starting immediately an ideal stepping stone for those aspiring to become Child Psychologists.

About the role Aspiring Child Psychologist:

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop practical skills supporting children with a variety of special educational needs an essential foundation for a career in Child Psychology.

Aspiring Child Psychologist Your role:

  • Assist pupils aged 416 with diverse needs including autism ADHD and other learning differences.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group support to help children access the curriculum and build confidence.
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialist staff to put personalised learning plans into practice.
  • Track and reflect on pupil progress giving you valuable insights for future postgraduate training.
  • Help create a nurturing inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

Requirements Aspiring Child Psychologist:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology (or a related subject).
  • Previous experience with children or young people with SEND (school care or voluntary) is advantageous.
  • Empathy patience and strong interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for child development and progression.
  • Clear ambitions to pursue Child Psychology training.
