IT Power Platform Intern
POSITION PURPOSEThe IT Power Platform Intern will support the IT team in managing and enhancing the Microsoft Power Platform environment. This internship is designed for individuals interested in learning low-code development automation and analytics using Microsoft Power Apps Power Automate and Power BI. The intern will gain hands-on experience while assisting with basic administrative tasks troubleshooting and user support. This role requires a strong desire to understand Power Platform components including Power Apps Power Automate and Power BI as well as grow in experience of low code development and IT administration. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities.ORGANIZATIONThis position reports to the IT Principal Architect or designated mentor.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Power Platform Administration:- Participate in training sessions to learn Power Platform tools and best practices.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving basic issues in Power Apps Power Automate and Power BI.
- Help document solutions and processes for future reference and resolution.
Low Code Development: - Support the development and testing of low-code solutions under supervision.
- Collaborate with team members and business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide feedback.
- Contribute to optimizing existing applications based on user feedback and performance metrics.
Administrative Tasks: - Assist with user account management and access control.
- Working knowledge with Microsoft database products and solutions.
- Basic understanding of IT concepts and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE- Basic knowledge or experience about the Power Platform with a strong willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Moderate knowledge of Databases APIs and coding/scripting abilities.
- 2 years experience in low code development or application lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with IT administration tasks including account management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Microsoft Power Platform foundation certification required within 6 months of hire.
MACHINES & EQUIPMENTThe incumbent must be able to effectively operate the current computer system telephone system and other office machines such as a copier.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Must be able to talk listen and speak clearly on the telephone.WORKING CONDITIONSThe incumbent works in a remote environment that is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions such as heat cold or extreme noise. Routine periods of being on the phone utilizing a headset sitting and data keying are required. Periodic times working at the office site may be required.Security and privacy training will be provided as part of this role to protect the confidentiality integrity and availability of PCS associate and customer data.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
