Job Summary: The Campus Activities Coordinator plays a key role in creating a vibrant and enriching campus life by organizing events and programs that foster student engagement and involvement. This position oversees the planning and execution of signature traditions such as the annual Ivy Chain Ceremony Homecoming Spirit Week Welcome Back Week and Hey Day. Serving as the staff advisor to the Campus Activities Board (CAB) the Coordinator supports student leadership in event planning and co-chairs the annual Night of Recognition to celebrate student achievements. The role also involves cross-departmental collaboration budget management and oversight of promotional platforms including social media and web content. Duties and Responsibilities: - Organize and facilitate on-going events and activities to increase student engagement on campus.
- Oversee the planning of Welcome Back Week programming during the first week of class during each semester.
- Plan and support signature wellness and prevention-oriented programs in collaboration with the Wellness Center.
- Manage all aspects of the annual Ivy Chain ceremony a college tradition for graduating seniors and their families.
- Chair the Homecoming Steering Committee and assist students with the planning and coordination of the Spirit Week events including Friday Festival.
- Assist with the planning and execution of Hey Day the annual campus/community involvement fair.
- Serve as a staff advisor for the Campus Activities Board (CAB) student organization.
- Co-Chair the annual Night of Recognition an event to recognize the accomplishments of our student organizations and leaders.
- Collaborate with other departments within Student Experience to plan and execute various events as requested.
- Prepare and submit the relevant budgets annually.
- Maintain relevant websites web pages and social media accounts to market/advertise the CC Student Experience.
- Maintain a comprehensive annual programming calendar.
- Attend major college functions including but not limited to Homecoming Quest Days Welcome Week College Visitation events Ivy Chain Late Night Breakfast and Student Affairs Night of Recognition.
- Serve on division and college committees as requested.
- Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned in accordance with Columbia Colleges vision mission and values and contributes to the development of the Division of Student Experience.

Supervisory Responsibility: Yes: Student Employees Position reports to: Director for Student Engagement Required Core Competencies and Professional Experience: - Demonstrated experience in planning large-scale events including: communication with various stakeholders experience with developing marketing pieces and arranging all of the necessary logistics to deliver a success event.
- Demonstrated experience supervising college student and working with them to plan events.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to work independently and exercise excellent judgement.
- Proficiency with the following but not limited to: active listening; speaking; writing; critical thinking; judgment and decision making; monitoring; reading comprehension; time management; coordination; and management of personnel resources.
- Proficiency for using a variety of computer and technology-related software and equipment including Microsoft Office products and database systems.
- Proficiency in using web-based technologies including database systems.
- Ability to work in a team environment with or without direct supervision.
