About this roleKō tēnei tūranga mahi
Were seeking a Communications Adviser whos passionate about Whakatū Nelson and skilled in delivering clear engaging content across multiple platforms to showcase the diverse work Council does in our city.
No two days are the same in this dynamic role. Youll work across teams on a variety of events and projects continuously learning and adapting. Flexibility resilience and the ability to juggle priorities while maintaining high standards are key.
About you Ko ngā pūmanawa ōu
You will have a high degree of initiative and autonomy to get stuck in and shape your tasks to maximise reach and engagement within the community. Youll bring curiosity creativity and a collaborative mindset to everything you do.
Skills you will bring to the role:
- Strong writing editing and grammatical skills with the ability to tailor tone and style for different audiences and channels.
- A resourceful self-starter and dynamic multi-tasker able to quickly understand different issues manage conflicting priorities and complete work to a high standard within tight timeframes
- Qualifications and experience in communications journalism or a related field
- Knowledge and practical experience of social media platforms and tools
- Effective relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and work confidently with a wide variety of people and topics
- Photography and videography confidence.
