About the Team:

Join the dynamic PhonePe AML Operations team contributing to the Trust & Safety initiativeaimed at enhancing the security and reliability of PhonePe products. About The Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join as Senior Manager Trust & Safety a strategic leadership role responsible for driving compliance governance and operational excellence across the Trust & Safety domain. The role involves leading people and processesinterpreting regulatory requirements and designing policies that safeguard the organizationsoperations in line with evolving regulatory expectations.
This position requires a strong background in AML Sanctions KYC Onboarding Fraud & Risk Compliance Advisory Operations Management and Policy Formulation withinBanking NBFC FinTech or broader BFSI industries. If you are passionate about buildingframeworks that balance growth with compliance this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Compliance & Policy Design
Interpret and implement requirements from RBI SEBI IRDAI Ministry ofFinance Ministry of Electronics & IT and other regulatory bodies.
Draft review and implement entity-level policies frameworks andoperational guidelines for the Trust & Safety function.
Ensure alignment of policies with both regulatory expectations and internal riskappetite.

Regulatory Understanding & Advisory
Stay updated on Master Directions Circulars Guidelines and Notificationsissued by regulators and government ministries.
Provide proactive advisory on compliance requirements risk implications andoperational integration.
Review and interpret legal and regulatory terminologies to support compliancedocumentation and governance needs.

Operations & Risk Management
Collaborate with business compliance operations and risk teams to embedpolicies and controls into day-to-day processes.
Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting and maintain properdocumentation standards.
Identify gaps design corrective actions and improve processes to enhanceoperational resilience.

People Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead and mentor a team fostering a culture of ownership compliance-firstmindset and professional development.
Collaborate with senior management business leaders and regulators to alignstrategic objectives with compliance outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Graduate Degree required; MBA/LLB/CA or other postgraduatequalifications preferred.
Experience: 810 years of relevant experience in Compliance Advisory RegulatoryPolicy and Operations Management within BFSI/Banking/NBFC/FinTech.
Technical Expertise:
Hands-on experience in drafting policies frameworks and compliancedocumentation.
Strong understanding of RBI Master Directions SEBI guidelines IRDAIregulations and Ministry notifications.
Basic familiarity with legal and regulatory terminology.
Experience with regulatory reporting requirements.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing teams and influencing stakeholders
across functions.
Skills: Excellent drafting communication analytical and problem-solving skills with the
ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
