Role Overview

As a Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Intern at M365Consult you will gain hands-on experience supporting secure and compliant Microsoft 365 environments for clients particularly in regulated and enterprise contexts. This role is ideal for individuals eager to learn about security configurations compliance frameworks and data protection strategies within Microsoft 365.

Key Responsibilities

Security Configuration

• Assist in configuring and managing Microsoft 365 security features such as Azure AD Microsoft Defender and Conditional Access.
• Learn to design and enforce security policies that reduce organizational risk.

Compliance Management

• Support the implementation of compliance strategies for GDPR and other relevant regulations and standards.
• Help audit and maintain compliance policies across Microsoft 365 services.

Data Protection

• Contribute to the development of data loss prevention (DLP) policies and strategies.
• Monitor data activities to help identify and address potential vulnerabilities.

Incident Response

• Assist in coordinating incident response activities and documentation.
• Participate in the investigation and resolution of security incidents under supervision.

User Training

• Help create documentation and learning materials on security and compliance best practices.
• Support awareness initiatives to improve security culture within client organizations.

Reporting and Audits

• Assist in preparing reports on security and compliance posture for management and stakeholders.
• Support internal and client-facing security audits and recommend corrective actions.

What We are Looking For

• Educational Background: Completed a degree in Computer Science IT Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Basic Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security features compliance frameworks or PowerShell scripting is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a strong interest in security and compliance challenges.
• Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively in remote and multicultural teams.
• Adaptability: Eagerness to learn about regulatory requirements industry best practices and evolving Microsoft 365 capabilities.
