Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential full time opportunity for a Physical Therapist at Northern Cheyenne Service Unit for Indian Health in Lame Deer Montana.
Job Description includes:
- 1 year contract
- Full time employment 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday - no weekends
- Manageable patient workload
- Structured setting with support staff on site
- Schedule offers work/life balance
The Physical Therapist will have the following requirements:
- Masters or Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapist Association (APTA) approved program.
- Any state Physical Therapist License
- Graduate from college or University approved by the CAPTE
- Experience required to meet clinical competency requirements specified by the Base
- Valid BLS certification
Core Duties:
Perform a full range of physical therapist services in accordance with the scope of clinical
privileges
Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient.
Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
Instruct motivate and assist patients in performing various physical activities such as
non-manual exercises ambulatory functional activities daily-living activities and in use
of assistive and supportive devices such as crutches canes and prostheses.
Administer manual therapy to include: joint mobilization/manipulation and soft tissue
mobilization applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology.
Certification in dry needling preferred.
Administer traction to relieve pain using traction equipment.
Record treatment response and progress in patients chart and/or automated systems.
Coordinate treatment with physician and other staff members to obtain additional patient
information suggest revisions in treatment program and integrate physical therapy
treatment with other aspects of the patients health care. Contact referring physicians
regarding patient care concerns as required.
Perform prevention and wellness activities education screening and promote positive
health behaviors.
