The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated Operator for the Pascoe Street Transfer Station. This person will join our dedicated Refuse Station Pascoe Street team in Nelson and help deliver the good work Fulton Hogan is known for.

The role will involve working with the public ensuring their safety and making sure the health & safety processes and procedures are carried out for the functional running of the Refuse Station.

The right candidate will be able to:

Follow site safety procedures and processes
Record any unsafe acts or opportunities for improvement
Be switched on and ready to apply emergency procedures when required
Ensure the public are never placed at undue risk

What youll bring to the table

Operate the rams
Change bins once they have achieved their target weights
Record bin change times and weight
Load trucks as required
Ensure the tidiness of the sumps and drains
Ensure hazardous substances are not fed into the hoppers
Complete daily maintenance checks.
