Reporting to the Senior Director Asset Protection theSenior Manager Dangerous Goodsposition will lead the strategic development implementation and continuous improvement of the Dangerous Goods program management processes.
The position will provide oversight strategic guidance and operational support to National Dangerous Goods elements such as leadership (i.e. goal setting) risk management communication planning information management training and competence incident investigation and program monitoring assessment. The position is responsible for stewarding and educating the organization on Dangerous Goods processes to manage compliance with regulatory requirements and management of organizational risk. This position will also work closely with business units partners and external vendors having accountability and responsibility for Purolators Dangerous Goods program.
This role is responsible for managing one of the single biggest organizational risks in ensuring all planes and vehicles travel safelyby establishing and maintaining requirements and processes necessary to facilitate the safe transport of dangerous goods by the regulatory requirements.
The Dangerous Goods Program is company-wide applying to all locations both in Canada and internationally. You will be a part of the business leadership team ensuring operations strategy and execution are aligned to meet the overall business strategy and people goals and will ensure cross-functional synergies.
