Reporting to the Manager of Materials Management the student will provide general support to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) group in Atlantic Region which includes logistics materials management procurement expediting and master data functions. The student will develop a thorough understanding of end-to-end SCM processes and utilize various systems and technologies such as SAP Ariba and MS Office tools. The student will also obtain valuable experience through supplier meetings site visits and interfacing with stakeholders as required. The work is fast-paced and varied and includes a combination of analytical work planning communication with stakeholders and suppliers document drafting and problem solving.

What youll do
Support expediting activities for outstanding materials ensuring on-time delivery and addressing delays.
Assist with contract negotiations and document drafting.
Support Request for Proposal (RFP) development and clarifications management.
Maintain and update material price lists in SAP.
Attend offsite meetings.
Attend warehouse review meetings to various local locations.
Support buying activities.
Attend supplier meetings related to material availability and delivery.
Attend Contractor review and performance meetings.
Provide general support to the SCM group.
Liaise with other parts of the region concerning buying issues and tracking.
Who you are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in Canadafull-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g. work visa)
Available to begin work in January 2026
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Critical thinker and ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced high-performing team environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy with a demonstrated ability to work independently multi-task and meet strict and occasionally moving deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and team skills.
Excel skills an asset.

Education
Must be enrolled in a Business Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work termOR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
