Job Description
The Senior Housekeeper is responsible to maintain a clean sanitary and pleasing environment for patients staff and guests. Duties include dusting vacuuming sweeping mopping sanitizing and removing trash. Assures that toiletry and linen needs are replenished at all times. Inventories and orders cleaning supplies and equipment. Ensures in conjunction with the plant operations department a safe and risk-free environment within OSHA regulations
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma GED or combination of education and relevant work experience required.
Experience: Pervious housekeeping in a hospital setting preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
License: Valid drivers license preferred.
Additional Requirements: May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine cleaning tasks of patient rooms offices and public areas while ensuring a safe and risk preventative environment within OSHA regulations.
A. Vacuum dust mop sweep and take out trash.
B. Clear areas with disinfectants.
C. Refill supplies (paper products soap etc.)
Ensure that adequate linens are kept in the hospital.
Report any situations that may affect health and well-being of patients or employees.
Assures that supply closets are kept clean and orderly.
Responsible for disposal of trash waste and other disposable materials in accordance with OSHA.
Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets missing nuts or screws beds needing repair etc).
Submit any patient personal belongings left behind to nursing supervisor.
Follows P&Ps for terminal cleaning of a room.
Follows instructions in use of germicidal solutions when cleaning.
Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
Trains coaches and supervisors housekeeping staff as assigned by Director/Manager. Reviews others work and provides oversight to ensure high quality of services and all standards are met.

PHYSICAL MENTAL AND SPECIAL DEMANDS
1. Ability to stand and walk majority of the shift.
2. Ability to reach above or below waist height kneel bend stoop turn and twist (frequently).
3. Visual ability to read typewritten materials such as product labels and policies and procedure manuals.
4. Ability to frequently push/pull wheeled carts up to 100 lbs.
5. Ability to frequently lift and carry 10 lbs.; occasionally 20 to 50 lbs.
6. Ability to work in an environment where chemicals are frequently used for cleaning where medical and electrical hazards may occasionally be present and where dust mist and steam are frequently generated in housekeeping tasks.
7. Ability to work at a rapid pace and perform a variety of repetitive duties.
