Job Summary
District Coordinator of Online Learning
The district recognizes the potential of technology to address existing student needs. We use
online learning platforms to support opportunities for enrichment and challenge for our
elementary students and to assist high school students who either have extended absences
from school or who need extra credit.
The responsibilities of the District Coordinator of Online Learning include:
- Act as a liaison with BHS parents students and teachers as well as the teachers and staff from Edgenuity the provider of online courses.
- Support the creation of a set of processes and procedures for Brookline student enrollment in online courses
- Recruit and register students for online courses and consult with deans guidance counselors and curriculum coordinators throughout the process
- Schedule time in a students schedule for online learning work
- Provide technical assistance and other support to students enrolled in online courses
- Monitor student progress in online courses and provide progress reports and grades to the school and to families in a timely manner
- Ensure that the schools records reflect the online courses taken and the grade earned.
