Job Description

Pay: $100000.00 - $120000.00 per year

Note: This position requires employees to be on-site four days per week at our clients Rockville (Shady Grove) MD office with one day of remote flexibility subject to hearing schedules.

Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have an active Maryland law license and 2 years of experience handling workers compensation cases.

Job Description

  • Handle workers compensation cases from intake through resolution
  • Represent clients before the Maryland Workers Compensation Commission
  • Conduct hearings depositions mediations and settlement negotiations
  • Draft and review pleadings motions and settlement agreements
  • Provide legal counsel and develop tailored case strategies
  • Maintain strong client communication and deliver effective advocacy
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure excellent case management

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Maryland (required)
  • 2 years of experience in Maryland workers compensation law including hearings before the Commission
  • Strong oral advocacy negotiation and legal writing skills
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and stay organized
  • Commitment to client service and professional integrity
