Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design KLAs Global Products Group (GPG) which is responsible for creating all of KLAs metrology and inspection products is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist software engineers application development engineers and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLAs largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation Precision Motion Control Sensors & Image Acquisition Platform Design and Packaging Engineering among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel China India and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs but also subject matter expertise best practices roadmaps specialized facilities apparatus models and analytics. These differentiate KLA not only in WHAT we do but also in HOW we do it.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Job description:

Responsible for design of sub system opto-mechanical systems precision mechanisms and tooling for manufacture and service.

Responsible for complete design process including requirements specification feasibility studies analysis and FEA modeling conceptual and detailed design using CAD tooling detail drawings procurement of prototype parts prototype testing system integration and handoff to manufacturing

Generate documentation (BOM ECO assembly drawings) required to release the design to manufacturing.

Hands on support product system/subsystem installation and assembly. Supporting system engineer and Sr. mechanical engineer for product design release.

Responsible for identifying and qualifying KT local suppliers closely work with supplier and vendor to deliver high quality parts on time.

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor/Master/PhD degree in mechanical engineering or related field Proficient with solid modeling tools (Pro/E Solidworks AutoCAD etc) engineering analysis tools and FEA tools.

Strong English written and verbal communications skills.

Well time management skill self-motivated self-directed and team work.

Solid background in the areas of motion control and structural vibration/dynamics analysis will be a plus.

Experience in generating documentation (BOM ECO assembly drawings) for product release will be a plus

Minimum Qualifications

Masters Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelors Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
