Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Novelis Uhrichsville team is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our team.This role will report to the Associate Supply Chain Leader and is accountable for maintaining data that supports tactical and strategic metal blending objectives to support operations. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for driving our company purpose Shaping a Sustainable World Together.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe working environment by following policies and state and federal regulations; participate in monthly safety meetings; complete safety observations to support safety programs
- Support the Materials Division in meeting or exceeding the Business Units Strategic Initiatives
- Review and maintain material data including inventory Molten Metal Verifications and RSI reports; perform weekly count of remelt of all raw materials
- Schedule and provide updates to the Uhrichsville Recycle Operations on incoming raw material shipments to meet production requirements and maintain inventory level objectives
- Schedule appointments with scrap material vendors; create and communicate appointment numbers
- Serve as the point of contact for material identified as potential problems
- Work with the Materials Analyst to update and distribute gainsharing data
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven ability to perform data-entry with minimal mistakes
- Flexibility to multi-task in a quick paced environment
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Strong written and oral communication skills interpersonal skills and organizational skills
- Ability to work any shift as needed to support our 24/7 operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-year College Degree in Business Administration or related field

Location Profile
Opened in 1985 the Uhrichsville facility produces flat rolled aluminum sheet. The rolling mill cold rolls aluminum sheet to a desired gauge anneals to temper levels and slits the rolled sheet to size. Employing more than 350 people the facility produces aluminum sheet for building and construction automotive distribution transportation and consumer durable applications.
