DISTRIBUTION MANAGER NIGHT SHIFT FULL-TIME HAMILTON
Join a team that keeps New Zealand moving overnight.
Were looking for a hands-on people-focused leader to manage our night-shift operations at the Hamilton Parceline hub part of the Freightways Group. This is a key role ensuring the smooth safe and efficient movement of freight through the network.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Distribution Manager youll lead the night-shift team that processes and dispatches high volumes of freight for New Zealand Couriers Post Haste and other Freightways brands.
Youll oversee people processes and performance keeping things on schedule solving problems in real time and ensuring compliance with safety and service standards.
Shift hours:
Monday to Friday shift hoursbetween 18:00 and 04:00 (permanent full-time).
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and motivating a diverse night-shift team
Overseeing inbound and outbound freight flow through the Hamilton hub
Ensuring compliance with H&S procedures forklift operation standards and site protocols
Tracking performance and KPIs including exception reporting
Supporting continuous improvement and efficient handovers to day shift
Working closely with other branches and transport partners across the Freightways network

Have previous experience managing or supervising operational teams
Understand freight or logistics operations (preferred not essential)
Communicate clearly and lead by example
Know how to maintain energy and focus across a night-shift crew
Are confident with compliance safety and basic reporting
Bring a strong work ethic and a focus on team success
