Job Description
We are looking for a machinist to join our team at AMETEK Process & Analytical Instruments.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Enrolled or completed machinist apprenticeship program or 2 years of work experience.
- Good working knowledge of common machining practices is required to insure safe and efficient machine operation.
- Ability to read formal and informal drawings and to manufacture all parts to the tolerances specified.
- Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Job Description:
- Program set-up and operation of all machines including but not limited to: CNC machining centers CNC turning centers engine lathes turret lathes milling machines drill presses and saws.
- All routine maintenance is to be performed by the machinist to insure safe and proper operation of the equipment.
- Occasionally duties may vary from the above as deemed necessary by business conditions
- Operate CNC mills lathes and saws efficiently and safely
- Operate manual milling machines lathes drill presses saws and general machine shop equipment efficiently and safely
- Experience using calipers micrometers and other inspection equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and comprehend work orders
- Clean modern shop
- Daylight postilion
Compensation
Employee Type: Hourly
Salary Minimum: $45000
Salary Maximum: $60000
