You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Facilities Planning Manager supervises the Facilities Planning Staff performing short (1-2 Yr) medium (3-5 Yr) and long range (>5 Yr) life cycle facilities planning and resource programming for building maintenance repair improvement and new construction requirements to support ADOTs inventory of owned and leased properties buildings and structures. Manages project development processes including processing requests generating scopes creating design and construction estimates and maintaining prioritized lists of current and future life cycle projects. Prepares operating and capital budget requests and monitors expenditures for ADOT Facilities life cycle maintenance repair improvement and new construction projects. Coordinates facilities planning and programming with other ADOT divisions to meet future operational requirements.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Supervise and manage staff performing short (1-2 Yr) medium (3-5 Yr) and long range (>5 Yr) life cycle maintenance improvement and replacement planning and resource programming to support over 200 properties with more than 1400 buildings and structures totaling over 3 million square feet.
Coordinate with other Divisions to identify future operational needs requiring increased facilities support. Develop comprehensive resource requirements and prepare budget estimates to support all aspects of property and facility management maintenance repair improvement and replacement activities.
Manage the allocation of Building Renewal funding across an average of 200 projects annually supporting eight categories of work. Monitors expenditures and encumbrances to manage and re-prioritize under estimated work into subsequent years to support the life cycle plan.

Management of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

Strong customer service skills
Balance workload and multi-task while working with minimal supervision
The ability to communicate clearly and assertively both verbally and in writing at a business level; interpret and apply laws rules and regulations
Degree in Architecture Engineering Construction or Facilities Management or related field.
Five to ten (5 -10) years estimating new commercial construction and renovations.
This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).
