Job Description

All bargaining unit and exempt new hires to ODOT must serve a one-year probationary period.

This position is overtime exempt per FLSA standards

If this position is filled internally the wage rate will be determined in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code.

The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position. An individual assessment of an applicants prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.

What You Will Do:

  • Serves as District Human Resources Manager (e.g. oversees district recruitment and selection benefits and training operations).
  • Advises & supervises lower-level human resources staff.
  • Provides direction to district staff on human resources matters.
  • Develops & implements district human resources plan.
  • Advises district Business and Human Resources Administrator on matters relating to human resources.

Completion of undergraduate core program in human resources business or public administration; 24 mos. human resources which included 12 mos. supervisory &/or management principles & techniques.

-Or 4 yrs. human resources.

-Or 12 mos. exp. as Human Capital Management Senior Analyst 64613.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
