Job Description

Position Title: HVAC Project Manager
Reports To: HVAC Manager
Direct Reports: Apprentices

Job Summary:
The HVAC Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning execution and completion of HVAC projects within budget and on schedule. This role involves coordinating with clients subcontractors and internal teams to ensure that all project goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage HVAC projects from initiation to completion ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Develop project plans including scope objectives schedules and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements and expectations providing regular updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with engineers technicians and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and project execution.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress identify potential issues and implement solutions.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation including contracts change orders and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations industry standards and company policies.
  • Evaluate project performance and implement improvements for future projects.
  • Manage project finances including budget tracking invoicing and cost analysis.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Proven experience in project management particularly within the HVAC industry.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems installation practices and industry regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Valid drivers license; Ability to be insured under companys vehicle insurance policy.
  • EPA 608 universal and Nate certifications (preferred)

Physical Demands:
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally more with assistance.
  • Prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces.
  • Frequent ladder use and work at heights.
  • Regular bending kneeling and working in confined spaces.
  • Frequent use of hands for tools and precision work.
  • Good vision and hearing required; use of PPE including safety glasses and hearing protection is mandatory.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.

Safety Requirements:
  • Comply with OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed.
  • Report hazards and follow safe work practices.

Work Environment:
Indoors and outdoors in various settings exposed to extreme weather confined spaces and high elevations.
  • Protective equipment is required in noisy dusty or hazardous environments.
  • Work may involve tight spaces and handling heavy tools.
  • Overtime weekend and emergency work may be required.
