Step into a key role as Assistant Team Leader and Plant Operator - Roller where youll combine hands-on expertise with leadership in the this dynamic position youll support the Team Leader in delivering critical maintenance works take charge as site supervisor when required and operate plant equipment to help build and maintain roads and parks. Remuneration

$65871 - $76272 per annum plus superannuation.

About you

You will be a motivated and safety-conscious individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for delivering quality civil works. Ideally you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in a civil construction/maintenance role including road and drainage construction concrete construction and civil maintenance and knowledge understanding and experience of road engineering work methods employed on civil projects.
  • Demonstrated competence and ability to safely operate a Roller and other plant and efficiently and effectively undertake relevant duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake material quantities and survey calculations.
  • Demonstrated ability to set up traffic control at a work site.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and co-ordinate work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills and sound literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment and commitment to building a team environment based on teamwork cooperation and mutual respect.
  • Demonstrated experience in the safe operation of minor plant and equipment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of landscaping requirements and erosion and sedimentation control techniques.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

You will hold all of the following:

  • Current LR Driver Licence
  • Work Health and Safety General Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Evidence of roller competency i.e. SOA VOC Ticket

Holder of or willingness to obtain within 6 months of commencement:

  • Current Traffic Controllers Certificate
  • Current Traffic Controllers Certificate (Implement Traffic Control Plans)
  • Current Safe Work Near Powerlines
