People Development Manager

12 months FTC

The Opportunity

Its an exciting time to join QBE International in a people development capacity. As we evolve our global-regional operating model were reshaping how leadership and learning are deliveredmoving from divisional support to regional enablement. This role sits within a pool of People Development Managers working in a consultancy-style capacity to support the execution of QBEs leadership and learning strategy across International including Group functions with Exec Members based in the region.

Youll play a key role in curating and delivering leadership talent development and learning experiences building learning solutions for emerging needs and contributing to strategic projects that span multiple business areas. This is a hands-on role requiring strategic thinking strong stakeholder management and the ability to roll up your sleeves and drive delivery.

Your New Role

  • Act as a strategic learning consultant supporting the execution of the leadership and learning strategy across International.

  • Support the Regional Head of Learning and Leadership to partner with stakeholders to identify leadership talent development and learning needs across the region.

  • Manage senior stakeholders including Executive Committee members with confidence and credibility.

  • Curate and deliver leadership development solutions from the global portfolio ensuring relevance and impact.

  • Contribute to the design of global learning solutions (e.g. strategic academies) using a flow-to-work model.

  • Build learning solutions for new/emerging needs excluding leadership and talent development in partnership with other Talent sub-functions.

  • As needed provide light-touch support and guidance for technical learning initiatives ensuring alignment with QBEs technical learning blueprint while recognising that detailed subject matter expertise and content ownership remains with the business.

  • Balance strategic alignment with agile deliveryadapting quickly to changing business needs while maintaining consistency.

  • Use data and insights to evaluate impact and continuously improve learning offerings.

  • Stay at the forefront of learning and leadership trends bringing innovative thinking to QBE.

About You

  • Proven experience across a range of leadership and learning domains including strategy design delivery facilitation and measurement.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage at senior levels.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business priorities into impactful development solutions.

  • Comfortable operating in complex ambiguous environments and navigating global matrixed organisations ideally within Insurance or Financial Services

  • Experience working across multiple geographies cultures and languages.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a regional team structure contributing to shared priorities and outcomes.

  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms and modern learning technologies.

  • Breadth of experience across HR talent and leadership development is highly desirable.
