Head of Legal 12 month FTC

Are you currently a Head of Legal looking for a new challenge and open to considering a 12 month fixed term contract Were looking for a commercially-minded Head of Legal to lead our in-house Legal function during a period of maternity leave.

Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:

• leading on our legal strategy and being responsible for oversight of all legal matters across the group; including commercial agreements employment matters disputes data protection and strategic projects
• managing our Legal team which includes a Senior Legal Counsel and Paralegal
• playing a central role in managing external legal advisers and legal spend across the Group

Reporting into our Group CFO youll partner closely with our Executive Leadership Team Operations Finance HR/People Procurement Marketing and Clinical Governance functions providing pragmatic solutions-focused advice that balances legal risk with commercial objectives. 

Qualifications :

We welcome your application to our Head of Legal fixed term contract vacancy if you have the following qualifications and skills:

• Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with a minimum of 7 years PQE gained in-house or in reputable private practice
• Proven experience as a Head of Legal including supervising or leading legal professionals
• Strong experience managing a broad mix of commercial corporate regulatory and contentious matters independently
•  Experience managing external legal advisers and controlling legal spend
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with confidence engaging across all levels
• Ideally experience within a healthcare dental or other regulated industry although this isnt vital.
