The Team
Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services (YFPS) provides court-ordered mental health assessments and treatment for young people under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and other laws. This includes youth found unfit to stand trial or not criminally responsible due to a mental disorder. Services are offered through outpatient clinics and contracted providers across B.C. with an inpatient unit in Burnaby that also supports Youth Custody Services. Clinics are located in Burnaby Langley Vancouver Victoria Nanaimo Prince George Kamloops and Kelowna serving all major regions of the province. Support duties may vary by clinic.
The Role
The Office Coordinator plays a key administrative role within the Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services (YFPS) outpatient clinic in Burnaby providing essential support to the clinic manager and multidisciplinary team. This position is ideal for an experienced stenographer with a proven ability to accurately and efficiently transcribe word-process and format a range of medical and legal documents. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment demonstrate strong attention to detail and bring a high level of professionalism to their work. Experience in a human or social services settingparticularly working with vulnerable youthis a strong asset.
